Ponderay City Code 4-1-1

Fireworks & Explosive Materials

 

A.    Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person to discharge any rockets, powder, fireworks or other dangerous, combustible, or explosive material in or on any street, lot, grounds or alley, or in or about the vicinity of any building within the City. Violation of this section shall constitute an infraction subject to penalty as provided in section 1-2-1 of this code: Fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100.00)

 

B.    Safe and Sane fireworks shall be allowed if there is sufficient fire prevention materials and children are supervised by an adult.

We would like to send out a huge THANK YOU to all of the volunteers that came together to make this event a success.

THANK YOU! To Ting Crazy Fast Fiber Internet and the Ponderay Rotary Club for sponsoring this event.  We were able to provide all the participants with new complimentary bicycle helmets.

THANK YOU! To our first responders from Northside Fire District for volunteering your time to properly fitting those helmets on all of our precious participants’ noggins.

THANK YOU! To the Pend Oreille Pedalers for coming out to check everyone’s bicycle equipment to make sure it is in tip top shape.

THANK YOU! To the Pend Oreille Pedalers for also hosting our freestyle competition. Those who participated could not get enough of the great pump track!  They pump, pump, pumped it up all day long!

THANK YOU! To Eric Brubaker for hosting so many awesome safety games, especially the Toddler Drag Race!  Those littles can sure cruise!

THANK YOU! To Kayleigh Miller for rounding up everyone and everything needed for this awesome day!

THANK YOU! To our beloved Mayor, Steve Geiger, for grilling up those delicious burgers!  We all needed the nutritious eats after building up our appetites and those burgers sure beat away any hanger pains.

THANK YOU! To our dedicated City Council for coming out and joining in on the fun!  We should do this every year!
